Soap Technologies
Since its founding in 1946, Mazzoni has been the world leader in the design and supply of soap manufacturing plants, glycerin production plants, and machinery for soap and detergent production. With over 6,000 installations in more than 130 countries and a global market share exceeding 60%, Mazzoni has become synonymous with excellence and reliability.
In 2017, Mazzoni joined the Ballestra Group, bringing with it a legacy of innovation and expertise that now forms the cornerstone of Ballestra’s Detergents, Surfactants, and Soap (DSS) business unit. The integration of Mazzoni into Ballestra has strengthened our ability to deliver cutting-edge technologies, combining heritage with Ballestra’s commitment to global leadership and innovation.

Sustainability
Mazzoni is strongly committed to continuously reduce the environmental impact of its activities though the increased efficiency of its infrastructure both through investment and personnel education as well as investing in developing technologies with lower energy consumptions, reduced water requirements,… In its offices and manufacturing workshop, Mazzoni has over the past five years reduced by over 75% its energy requirements among others installing a 200 kW photovoltaic plant on its roof, replacing all lightings with last generation LED, increasing heat efficiency of the building.
Mazzoni considers also important to invest in support the local communities where it operates funding social projects among others:
- New well for the local community of Maratane (Nampula – Mozambique)
- Elementary school in Democratic Republic of Congo
- Several projects to development infrastructure of local communities in Ethiopia
Innovations
R&Q
Mazzoni invest over 5% of its turn-over in R&D to continue to guarantee to its customers top of hedge technologies with a dedicated team of engineers and chemists. Mazzoni has over the past years strongly increased its infrastructure with the installation of a new fully equipped laboratory and pilot plant facility available both for our internal technological development as well as to cooperate with customers of specific joint projects. Mazzoni cooperates continuously with the support of external university among others Politecnico of Milano and Parma University.
